I interviewed Tracey and her husband Andy on Monday 09-20-2010. I had approached Tracey a few days before to see if Andy would be willing to give me an interview about his business for a school project. After speaking with Tracey for several minutes, I learned that she was actually the CEO of the business and that Andy worked for her. The details of their business was more complex than I had imagined and I came away with a different opinion of home based businesses. Their interview is below.

I interviewed Terry Brown on Thursday 09-16-2010. Terry is the owner of Tower Place Jewelers which is a well-known and established business in the Charlotte area. Terry has been in the Jewelry business for over 20 years. She began her career by working for others in the trade. She saw ways in which the business could be improved and when she got the opportunity to run her own business she put those ideas into practice. Today Terry is looking forward to retirement and advises anyone looking to start their own business should make sure they reinvest in the business and put something away for the lean times.

I met Mr. Gill about 3 years ago and never really got the opportunity to know him until we sat down for this interview. He was very helpful and was willing to talk. I had to cut the interview short or it could have gone a long time.
